You will be responsible for assisting in the delivery of a high-quality facilities management service within a Care Home/Extra Care Home environment ensuring that the environment meets the expectations of clients and staff alike whilst always maintaining client’s dignity and confidentiality.
The main duties of the post will include assisting in the delivery of a high-quality catering service and overseeing the cleaning service. The duties will include: -
Deputising for the Facilities Housekeeper on their days off, assisting in the Menu planning, portion control, food preparation and cooking, organisation and delivery of food service, monitoring of cleaning standards, supervision of staff, control of hygiene, health and safety and ensuring that equipment is clean and maintained.
You must have effective communication, organisational and interpersonal skills, with a flexible approach, as evening and weekend work are required. You should also have a high awareness of hygiene practices and be able to work as part of a team.
Previous experience in a catering background is essential.
An elementary food hygiene certificate is desirable.
