NHS Highland Financial Management Team is seeking applicants to apply for the permanent post of HHSCP Management Accountant.
Due to retirement, an opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to work within the financial management team within NHS Highland. We offer an opportunity to work on a hybrid basis as well as generous terms and conditions.
This role will be part of a team of staff whose aim is to deliver a high-quality finance partner business service, providing financial information and analysis to budget holders and senior finance staff across the organisation.
You are required to work closely with Heads of Operations, Services Managers and other budget holders, providing timely and accurate information and advice to facilitate the effective monitoring and management of the financial position and to support the decision-making process in relation to the Services allocated to you. You will be expected to play significant role in the formulation of the annual budget and savings plan for those Services.
This post is ideally suited to applicants who have extensive experience in a financial management environment or public sector/or a newly qualified accountant/recent accountancy graduates with a desire to work in Financial Management of a complex organization and can demonstrate the following essential attributes:
1. Strong communication skills, due to the need to communicate complex, sensitive or contentious information to a range of different audiences using a variety of media.
2. Sound leadership qualities and team working ethos.
3. Good planning, organisational and time management skills.
4. A flexible approach is required to fulfill the duties in an environment with ever changing and / or conflicting priorities.
5. A positive attitude towards maintaining and supporting a culture of continuous service improvement, and a learning environment.
