Contracted start time: 10:00-18:00 Monday to Friday About the Role Lancashire County Council provide vital residential care services for the people of Lancashire. These services provide a safe, secure environment that allows older people as much independence as possible while supporting a range of care needs. The Facilities Management team carry out cleaning at all Residential Care Homes and Day Centres. Keeping these buildings clean is critically important to everyone who use these facilities. The contracted times are 10:00-18:00 Monday to Friday, Occasional weekend work may be required. The Facilities Management team is responsible for a large group of Care Homes across Lancashire. These buildings provide essential services to the community and vulnerable people. High standards of cleanliness are expected, and prior experience is desirable. Full training and ongoing support will be provided. This role requires you to lead a small team, ensuring all work areas are clean across the site, conducting induction and training for new staff and undertaking internal audits. The role involves some straightforward administrative tasks such as reporting of holidays and sickness and being the first point of contact between both the client and Area Coordinator. Cleaning duties will consist of general cleaning, such as damp wiping, damp mopping, toilet cleaning, decontamination cleans and use of cleaning equipment such as a scrubber drier and carpet cleaner.
