Are you an experiened Category Manager with a passion for the Rail industry?
We are currently recruiting for a Category manager based in Crewe on a hybrid basis working for a world wide reputable comapny with a long heritage within the rail industry.
Main Purpose of the Role
To leverage competitive advantage and best in class performance from a defined portfolio of strategic suppliers.
This role will develop and deliver procurement strategies for a defined category of spend, covering direct and/or indirect materials, components, assemblies and services.
The role has responsibility for the contracting arrangement with suppliers as well as developing supplier relationships and managing their performance.
For this role, A candidate with experience in Rail, Automotive, Aeropsace or similar is required to excell and succeed within this position with a minimum of at least 4 years experience.

Work is not straightforward and requires considerable initiative and judgement. Difficult tasks or assignments may be handled.
Ability to compile, analyse, interpret and present information to senior stakeholders.
Skilled communicator with excellent stakeholder management and effective influencing skills at all levels.
Strong data analytical and problem solving skills.
Effective time management and prioritisation skills.
Strategic thinker with ability to convert to tactical deployment plans.
Good track record of supporting a team culture and cross functional working.
Ability to work independently.
