Your role and responsibilities As the Recruitment Administrator, you will provide administrative and system support across a range of recruitment activities, helping us bring in talented On-Call Firefighters, Wholetime Firefighters, Control Operators and other crucial non-operational staff. Here’s a glimpse into what your typical week will look like: You’ll be the first point of contact for recruitment enquiries, providing helpful support and guiding people to the right resources. Ensuring all the behind-the-scenes pre-recruitment tasks are completed, making the process smooth for everyone. Providing guidance to our managers on recruitment best practices, helping them navigate the recruitment process. Keeping our recruitment website fresh, up to date and engaging, and collaborate on marketing and social media campaigns. Managing various vacancies, projects and outplacement cases simultaneously, keeping everything organised and on track. Supporting internal and external promotion/recruitment processes. What you will bring to the team Strong organisational skills and ability to plan recruitment events and prioritise work to achieve multiple deadlines simultaneously. Strong IT skills including excellent knowledge of Microsoft 365 products. Excellent people skills to support both our applicants and our recruitment team and to be the ‘resident expert’ across a range of systems and processes. Excellent attention to detail and passion for creating and maintaining efficient and effective processes and procedures. An understanding of Fire and Rescue Service’s would be beneficial. The team Our Workforce Planning and Development Team includes Learning and Development, Recruitment and Equality, Diversity and Inclusion teams. You will support learning & development and recruitment as we hire On-Call Firefighters, Wholetime Firefighters, and non-operational staff, providing clear development pathways for staff to become skilled professionals. Our teams operate in various locations across Suffolk, with Learning and Development based at the Fire Service Training Centre in Wattisham and the Recruitment Team located at HQ at Endeavour House in Ipswich. There may be instances where work is required in other locations across the county as directed by department managers. There are no public transport links to Wattisham, so a full driving licence and personal transport are beneficial, or you must be able to travel by other reasonable means.
