Join Our Team as a PBS Support Worker Are you ready to make a real difference in someone’s life? We’re looking for kind, compassionate, and resilient individuals to join our team as Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) Workers, supporting a young lady with a mild learning disability, Emotionally Unstable Personality Disorder (EUPD), trauma, Dissociative Disorder, and a stoma. About the Role You’ll be working with a cheeky, loving, and fun young lady who has a big heart and a vibrant personality. She enjoys connecting with others, trying new activities, and sharing moments of laughter and joy. She has a knack for making those around her smile and feel valued. However, this role does come with challenges. Due to her diagnoses, she can experience prolonged periods of behaviours that require patience, understanding, and a calm, supportive approach. Her trauma and Dissociative Disorder can also bring unique complexities, including moments of dissociation or heightened emotional responses, which you’ll help her navigate with sensitivity and care. You’ll play a vital role in providing stability and reassurance, empowering her to build trust, process her emotions, and develop coping strategies. Part of your role will also include supporting her in managing her stoma with confidence and dignity. What We’re Looking For: Empathy and compassion: A genuine desire to help her thrive and enjoy life. Resilience: The ability to manage challenging behaviours and provide steady support during difficult moments. Trauma-informed care approach: An understanding of how trauma impacts behaviour and emotional well-being, or a willingness to learn. Adaptability: Flexibility to respond to her changing needs and provide person-centred care. Teamwork: Collaboration with colleagues and other professionals to ensure holistic and consistent support. Experience in PBS or a willingness to learn: Full training will be provided. What We Offer Comprehensive training in Positive Behaviour Support, trauma-informed care, and stoma management. A supportive and inclusive team environment. Opportunities for personal and professional growth. The chance to make a meaningful and lasting impact on someone’s life. Why Join Us? This is more than a job—it’s an opportunity to support a young lady who, despite her challenges, will bring joy and warmth into your life. Every day will be unique, offering moments of connection and progress that remind you of the incredible impact you’re making.
