This role, with a focus on technical design, is central to the project team, combining technical proficiency with creative collaboration. The Technical Designer will contribute to distinct components of large-scale projects or manage smaller projects independently. Responsibilities include producing detailed architectural and interior drawings, ensuring the quality and accuracy of deliverables, and maintaining clear communication with both internal teams and external consultants. Reporting to the Project Director, the Technical Designer plays a pivotal role in delivering innovative and high-quality designs.
Key duties encompass overseeing the project lifecycle from concept through construction, producing detailed technical and contract documentation, and ensuring seamless coordination across project phases, including schematic design, design development, and construction. The Technical Designer will also address technical challenges, ensure compliance with codes and standards, conduct product research, and maintain quality control through construction administration, site visits, and contractor collaboration. A commitment to sustainable practices and fostering a collaborative team environment is essential.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong conceptual design skills, effective project management, and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
