Community Enforcement Officer
We are seeking to recruit a highly motivated and competent individual for the post of Community Enforcement Officer. You will be based in Delamere House Crewe investigating assigned environmental incidents and crimes and patrolling the South of the Borough.
The successful applicant will be part of a team of Community Enforcement Officers who patrol the streets and estates of Cheshire East and provide a reassuring, uniformed presence, tackling environmental issues and anti-social behaviour through a range of enforcement and engagement methods on an “engage”, “educate”, “encourage” and “enforce” basis. The successful applicant will play a key role in ensuring visitors and residents feel safe in our Borough.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to making the borough a cleaner and safer place for residents and businesses, working with communities to address issues such as dog fouling, fly tipping and abandoned vehicles.
The Successful Candidate will work flexible hours, which may include some evenings, weekends and bank holidays where required alongside an experienced team dealing with complaints of anti-social behaviour and environmental issues. Good communication skills are required both written and orally, together with computer skills.
You will need to use persuasion, investigation and enforcement skills to resolve environmental issues and anti-social behaviour in our neighbourhoods and communities. A basic DBS check and a current driving license are also required.
You will be part of our Neighbourhood Services Team, working with other council departments and partners to join up services and get positive outcomes for residents, visitors and businesses alike.
You will need to be visible and accountable to residents across Cheshire East, encouraging the involvement of residents and community groups in looking after their areas so that cleaner and safer neighbourhoods are self-sustaining.
