Package: £85k - £90k + 15% bonus + £7k car allowance

Role Purpose:
The Head of Procurement will oversee the implementation of procurement strategies and policies, ensuring alignment with business goals and regulatory standards. This role involves steering key procurement functions, with a particular focus on driving category leadership in the Packaging sector. It contributes to the overall vision of enhanced cost efficiency, sustainability, and supplier innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Policy and Compliance: Ensure all procurement activities adhere to company policies and regulatory standards.
* Stakeholder Management: Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand and meet procurement requirements, especially in project change management.
* Performance Management: Track and report on procurement performance, implementing improvements as needed.
* Risk Management: Mitigate procurement risks using supplier evaluation tools.
* Source-to-Pay (S2P) Process Leadership: Oversee all steps in the S2P process, from strategy through to execution, ensuring alignment and continuous improvement.
* Sourcing Guideline Ownership: Develop, implement, and uphold sourcing guidelines to promote transparency, fairness, and value.
* Operational Procurement: Lead the day-to-day procurement operations, including purchase orders, supplier management, contract oversight, and invoice handling.
* Productivity Governance: Set and track efficiency goals, working alongside the Global Head of Productivity to enhance operational productivity.
* Procurement Tools and Systems Management: Oversee the selection, implementation, and maintenance of procurement tools and systems, ensuring their effective use, data security, and regulatory compliance.
* Sustainability Initiatives: Serve as the key contact for sustainable procurement practices, providing guidance on best practices and processes.
* Transformation Leadership: Drive regional procurement transformation projects to support the business’s strategic goals.
Required Skills and Experience:
* Proven experience in procurement with demonstrated success in managing categories at a regional or global level.
* Strong ability to navigate ambiguity in a complex, multicultural environment.
* Excellent cross-functional collaboration and leadership skills.
* Analytical and strategic thinker with hands-on operational capabilities.
* Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.
* Availability to work on-site 3 days a week and travel as required to suppliers and manufacturing sites.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Master’s degree or equivalent experience.
* Proficiency in a second language.
* Prior experience in a matrix procurement environment.
