We are currently recruiting for a Cover Supervisor to work with Key Stage 4 (KS4) students in Oldham. Key Responsibilities:
* Supervise KS4 students in the absence of their regular class teacher.
* Ensure students are engaged and working on pre-set lessons and tasks.
* Maintain classroom discipline and manage student behaviour in accordance with the school's policies.
* Provide support to students in completing tasks, offering guidance where necessary.
* Monitor and track student's progress, reporting any concerns to the relevant staff members.
* Assist with the smooth running of lessons and ensure that students adhere to the school's expectations.
* Support student's social and emotional development by fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
* Be a positive role model for students, encouraging motivation, responsibility, and respect.
* Assist with the preparation of classroom resources and materials when needed.
Requirements:
* Previous experience working in an educational setting, ideally as a Cover Supervisor or in a similar role.
* Experience working with KS4 students, ideally in a secondary school environment.
* Strong classroom management skills and the ability to maintain discipline.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students and staff.
* A proactive and flexible approach to supporting the classroom environment.
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
* An understanding of the KS4 curriculum is desirable but not essential.
