UPD Co-Ordinator
UPD Co-Ordinator Responsibilities:
1. Schedule and control the supply of materials and components to meet the build plan requirements – starting with internal processing, through to external supply routes.
2. Manage stock levels of donor parts, assessing and monitoring the volume requirements against planning assumptions and agreed targets.
3. Interpret the master schedule to create material demand of child parts and plan material supply to support the refurbishment process of parts.
4. Implement all processes to agreed standards and targets, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and identifying areas of improvement.
5. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to forecast, plan, and facilitate refurbished materials to the build schedule efficiently as and when required.
6. Create and issue forecasts to suppliers for all child parts, as well as developing good relationships with suppliers to ensure demand for materials is made and deliveries made on time.
7. Inspect materials quality to ensure consistency and integrity.
8. Question the nature of defects while providing future solutions.
9. Alert the Quality Assurance department of identified quality concerns.
10. Fill out and maintain proper paperwork – including rejection notes for materials that do not meet quality standards.
11. Comply with all standards, internal policies and legal regulations that apply to the finished product.
The ideal UPD Co-Ordinator will have experience in:
1. A good understanding of supply chain management or expert knowledge of a specialist area.
2. Knowledge and understanding of manufacturing and automotive processes and components would be an advantage.
3. Knowledge and experience of using MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems or similar.
4. Knowledge or experience working with upcycled automotive parts would be an advantage.
5. Must have great attention to detail.
6. Reliable and punctual.
7. Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills.
8. Be comfortable taking a hands-on approach to fully understand the UPD requirements and parts.
