About the role
Job Title: Brand Partnerships Manager
Responsible to: Head of Brand Partnerships
Main Function: Lead the schuh marketing relationship with each branded supplier alongside the Head of Brand Partnerships, ensuring we are considered the partner of choice and maximise revenue income.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Work with the Head of Brand Partnerships to:
1. Understand the marketing strategies and tactics for each brand to contribute to the development of a main strategy for schuh to maximise the exposure and return for the business.
2. Build and maintain effective working relationships with the marketing and sales functions for all branded suppliers to the business.
3. Work with the Head of Brand Partnerships to deliver an annual Strategy Deck detailing commercial brand and product priorities along with commercial channel growth opportunities where relevant.
4. With the support of the Head of Brand Partnerships, lead on delivering income from approved physical store locations where possible, shoot and events production and across digital channels from the brands to the targets set within the annual budget, over and above any normal trading terms/settlement in place.
5. Identify opportunities to align branded partner purpose values with schuh’s own purpose pillars and work to bring this to life authentically in co-op campaigns.
6. Secure relevant brand partners for schuh experiential events as well as identifying opportunities with brand managed experiential events or activity for schuh’s participation.
7. With the support of the Head of Brand Partnerships, advance and progress relationships with wholesale partners, focussing on driving awareness and ROI via marketing campaigns for schuh own label product across partner channels.
8. Identify opportunities to increase schuh’s target consumer database size and loyalty scheme signups (the schuh club) via brand partnership campaigns.
9. Work with the Buying function to identify and understand commercial product priorities and key product stories, as well as the importance of each individual brand.
10. Work with the branded buying teams to identify the importance of each individual brand and any marketing contribution that should be reasonably expected to support this business. (approx. 1-2% of spend).
11. Consistently present schuh to the brands as their partner of choice with the aim of being a destination of choice for our customers.
12. Demonstrate knowledge of brand USPs, purpose pillars and the target consumer and how that aligns (or doesn’t) with each branded partner.
13. Maintain a strong rapport with other departments such as ecommerce and digital merchandising to ensure awareness of product, campaign and content requirements.
14. Assist in managing brands visual representation across all sales channels liaising where appropriate with the schuh Marketing, VM, Ecommerce and Retail Operations Teams.
15. Lead regular Planning Meetings with individual brands to identify commercial product priorities and key stories.
16. Lead as required in regular Results Meetings with individual brands to demonstrate successful amplification of campaigns and assess ROI, contributing to the delivery of results in a formal deck to be shared with the wider business.
17. Participate in regular content meetings to ensure key product stories from both a brand and buying perspective are represented across schuh channels.
18. With support of the Head of Brand Partnerships, lead the management and development of the Brand Partnerships Team.
19. Support where required, the Brand Partnerships Coordinator and Assistant to help maintain the schuh marketing calendar detailing key commercial product stories and channel activations to enable other departments to plan content and have a visibility of key calendar activity.
20. Ensure the brand partnerships team maintain and update key internal documents such as content calendars, BP Roadmaps and product planning documents with key information around brand campaigns, key product launches and channel activations.
21. Help to ensure details, creative and plans for key campaigns and launches are communicated to the wider marketing team (inc. social and content teams) and other key internal stakeholders as necessary to ensure a smooth execution of any campaigns.
22. Assist the Head of Brand Partnerships to create a formal Brand Deck to convey the schuh brand DNA and commercial partnership opportunities for brands, inclusive of commercial rate cards for all channels
23. Assist the Head of Brand Partnerships in maintaining budgets, and reporting on financial income, as well as the impact of partnership campaigns both from a monetary and awareness perspective.
24. Be responsible for bookings in our main store real estate calendar detailing key commercial product stories and activation instore, inclusive of live dates and ROI.
