As a Junior Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for providing commercial and contractual advice and support to the business, ensuring that ADS/ADSL’s risk is minimised, and commercial position is maximised. You will also develop, implement, and maintain commercial processes and procedures to meet prescribed business requirements.
You will have a range of responsibilities that involve monitoring, preparing, reviewing, and supporting various commercial and contractual activities. You will be expected to keep track of the Change Portals and the Insurance Tracker and communicate with your colleagues to ensure timely and accurate information exchange. You will also be responsible for creating and/or evaluating contractual submissions, such as responses to Contract variations, Compensation Events, and other contractual notices, in accordance with the internal Governance and processes.
You will also play an active role in attending and participating in meetings as required, and supporting the development and implementation of commercial processes that meet the prescribed business requirements. You will work closely with procurement to align the terms and conditions of contracts with customers, suppliers, partners and third parties. You will also identify and mitigate potential liabilities, risks, opportunities, issues, and disputes that may arise from these contracts, and produce innovative solutions.
Furthermore, you will support the Senior Commercial Manager with the interpretation of the contracted requirement as required, which may include the terms and conditions and the scope of work. You will maintain contractual records, documentation of key correspondence, and timeline, and track the progress of multiple activities against agreed deadlines. You will also undertake any related tasks as requested by the Senior Commercial Manager.

Ready to join the team?
You must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a commercial role in a relevant environment, experience or knowledge of contract management principles, negotiation skills, and the ability to review and draft contracts, and an understanding of the principles of contractual and commercial risk.
Experience of contract law is additionally desirable, and you should be a strategic and commercial thinker who is flexible and pragmatic.
Salary: up to £36,000 depending on experience
Location: Tidworth
