This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a professional HR environment while supporting various aspects of human resources, including administration, training and development, and project work. The successful candidate will be part of the HR Team reporting to the HR & Talent Manager. What will you be doing?
* HR Administration: Manage and maintain employee records, prepare contracts, assist with recruitment processes, and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
* Training and Development: Support the coordination and delivery of training programmes and development initiatives for employees. Liaison with CITB to obtain training grants.
* Targeted Apprentice and Graduate Recruitment: through attendance at Career fairs, developing links with Universities/Colleges and apprentice partners.
* Employee Reviews: Effective management of the administration relating to the employee review process.
* Project Work: Contribute to HR-related projects aimed at developing our existing procedures and enhancing employee engagement, such as long service recognition, wellbeing and diversity initiatives and HR process improvements.
* Reporting: Prepare and maintain HR reports, ensuring data is accurate and compliant.
* Systems: Assist with the management and development of current HR related business systems including Flex, Fusion and Success Factors.
* Employee Support: Act as a point of contact for employees, providing assistance with HR-related queries and ensuring a professional and responsive service.
What requirements are needed for the role?
* A degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field (a CIPD qualification or progress toward one is desirable).
* Strong organisational and administrative skills with excellent attention to detail.
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with employees at all levels of the organisation.
* A proactive and professional attitude, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with HR systems or databases (desirable but not essential).
* A positive attitude and self-starting ability with the aptitude to take ownership of projects as required and see them through to completion.
* A full driving licence and willingness to travel to other locations as required.
* Previous experience working in a HR role.
