Wigan and Leigh College catering services provides high-quality catering for students, staff, and visitors. This post will be based at the Pagefield Centre, but you may be asked to work at other sites to meet business needs.
Responsibilities:
1. Prepare, cook, and serve a selection of hot and cold foods for a counter-style service for students and staff at a busy college.
2. Follow procedures for both food hygiene and health and safety.
3. Customer interaction and customer service skills including cash handling.
4. Retail skills for filling confectionery and drinks.
5. Be part of a team that reports directly to the Catering Manager.
Skills Required:
1. Good communication skills.
2. Good numeracy and an ability to count takings and issue change.
3. Good personal presentation and personal hygiene.
Personal Qualities:
1. Reliable.
2. Punctual.
3. An interest in hospitality and catering.
4. Customer service skills.
