Our stunning care home, Cheadle Manor Care Centre, is a purpose-built facility in the popular location of Cheadle village, Stockport. The home is registered to provide care to 68 residents who have a variety of care needs including residential and nursing. The home reflects the New Care vision of providing the highest standards of safety, comfort, and care. We invest in the latest technology and offer a purposeful programme of daily activity and gentle exercise to enhance the experience, care, and wellbeing of our residents. All team members are hand-selected for their warmth and passion, with a full induction and ongoing training provided by our in-house trainers in conjunction with the New Care Academy. The home is rated GOOD in all domains by CQC and has had 0 agency usage for over 4 years, employing a permanent staff team to ensure continuity of care. Across New Care, all staff are paid the national living wage or above.
We are seeking to appoint a kind, caring, and organised Hospitality Assistant to join our team. The role involves ensuring that residents and visitors receive an efficient food service while maintaining a clean working environment within the dining room and server at all times. We have a part-time contract available with an hourly rate of £11.44, with shift times from 08:00 to 19:00, including alternate weekend working.
Role Responsibilities:
1. Ensure there is a provision of high standard of hospitality service.
2. Support and assist visitors.
3. Inform the Chef of any individual requirements of residents.
4. Follow cleaning schedules and procedures as per company HACCP.
5. Adhere to all training provided.
6. Ensure records and reports are properly written up.
7. Promote safeguarding the welfare of adults that the post holder is responsible for or comes into contact with.
Skills and Experience Required:
1. Hospitality or catering experience is desirable.
2. Previous experience working in a care setting is desirable.
3. Ability to effectively communicate with other members of the team.
4. Prepared to participate in activities organised in the Home.
