About the Role - The Mission We’re on a mission to redefine parking and reservations. The first step is to evolve the next generation of leading airport parking reservations platforms. It’s about designing and building an AI-powered, globally scalable, high-transaction platform that handles millions of reservations daily. We need a skilled engineering leader who loves AI, technology and innovation - someone who thrives on solving complex problems, scaling platforms and leading world-class teams. Responsibilities - You are an architect, problem solver and innovator. Your role is to own the technology roadmap, drive innovation and lead the evolution of our platforms. This is a key leadership role with significant influence where you will:
* Shape the future of world-leading AI-powered, intelligent booking systems
* Bridge vision and execution, defining the next-gen cloud-native architecture
* Lead high-performing teams, mentoring engineers and fostering a culture of innovation
* Work directly with the IT Founder Director, learning from the best while setting the technical direction for the future
What you’ll actually be doing:
Technology Leadership & System Evolution Transform legacy platforms into a modern, AI-driven cloud-native system:
* Architect and scale a resilient, real-time booking and management platform
* Design and implement a resilient, queue-based architecture to handle millions of daily transactions
Software Development & Integration:
* Develop highly scalable applications in C#, .NET, SQL and Azure
* Integrate with third-party services, APIs and enterprise platforms - a key differentiator in the market
* Establish robust engineering standards with a focus on maintainability and performance
Cloud Infrastructure & Security:
* Optimise and scale our Azure-based infrastructure for cost efficiency and reliability, whilst leaning on our Group Infrastructure team
* Strengthen security policies and ensure compliance with PCI DSS and other standards
* Implement DevOps best practices, CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code (IaC).
Leadership & Strategic Impact:
* Bridge the gap between technical innovation / business strategy and be the technical right-hand to the founder, learning the intricacies of current systems while leading their evolution
* Mentor and scale a team of talented engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
* Collaborate across the groups leadership teams to define integrations and tech strategy
What can you bring to the team:
* Proven experience leading software development and cloud infrastructure teams
* Strong background in C#, .NET, SQL, and Azure
* Experience with AI/ML-driven automation (a plus!)
* Deep understanding of APIs, microservices, and scalable architectures
* Knowledge of security, compliance, and PCI DSS standards
* A strategic thinker who also enjoys solving technical challenges
* A strong communicator who can bridge technical and non-technical teams
* A collaborative leader who fosters innovation, teamwork, and continuous improvement
Pay range and compensation package:
This role is a 3/4 day per week 'in office' hybrid role, the office location is Maidenhead, Berkshire.
