My client is a local, family-run business in the building/construction industry with a rich history and a commitment to providing top-quality, bespoke products and services. The team are currently seeking an Experienced Bookkeeper with experience in the construction or building industry a desirable but not essential. Responsibilities: Manage all aspects of day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting processes including but not limited to: A/P, A/R, payroll, journal entries and bank reconciliation. Prepare financial statements such as balance sheets and income statements. Review and support business processes and be confident to recommend and implement change. Implement and maintain financial data management systems. Qualifications: Preferable to hold AAT L3 or equivalent with at least 2 years experience. Proven bookkeeping experience in the construction or building industry. Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles. High degree of accuracy and attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Experience with accounting software – particularly Xero Previous experience using CRMs as well as knowledge of financial regulations and compliance standards.
