Key Responsibilities:

Mental Health Assessments: Conduct thorough mental health assessments for individuals presenting with a variety of mental health conditions, including mood disorders, anxiety, psychosis, personality disorders, and substance misuse. Gather detailed patient histories, conduct risk assessments, and make informed decisions regarding treatment and care plans.

Care Planning and Delivery: Develop and implement individualized care plans, working closely with patients and multidisciplinary teams to ensure the delivery of holistic, person-centered care. Review and update care plans regularly, ensuring they are in line with best practice and evolving patient needs.

Therapeutic Interventions: Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), psychoeducation, motivational interviewing, and other approaches. Provide both one-on-one and group sessions to address patients' mental health needs.

Medication Management: Administer and monitor prescribed medication for patients, ensuring adherence to treatment plans. Educate patients and their families about medications, side effects, and importance of compliance. Work closely with prescribing psychiatrists to adjust medications as needed.

Crisis Management: Provide support during mental health crises, ensuring safe and appropriate interventions are in place. Offer emotional support, de-escalation techniques, and immediate care in line with risk management strategies.

Multidisciplinary Team Collaboration: Work alongside other healthcare professionals, such as psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and support staff, to develop and implement care plans for patients. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, case discussions, and care reviews to ensure coordinated care delivery.

Patient Education and Support: Offer education to patients and their families about mental health conditions, available treatments, and self-management strategies. Promote mental health and well-being through advice on coping mechanisms and building resilience
