The Advocate Group are proud to be exclusively partnered with the UK's leading home interiors specialists, to support the search for an exceptional leader to join as the Group SHE Manager. The business is a pioneer in luxury interior design, producing high-end, quality spec products to install in customer's homes.
In a newly created role, the Safety, Health & Environment Manager will join the business at a strategic level, responsible for driving a safety best practice culture across the four business entities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide expert guidance to senior leadership on best practices and driving a safety culture in the business.
* Work alongside Directors to develop and deliver engaging health & safety training/workshops to colleagues from shop-floor to manager level.
* Lead environmental sustainability initiatives, providing ideas on how the business can be doing more.
* Influence a workforce of 500 colleagues to value the importance of safety in the workplace and hold accountability for initiatives.
* Motivate, mentor and coach a small team of direct reports, supporting in their respective roles.
Key Requirements:
* Solid SHE experience; ideally in a manufacturing environment.
* Ability to influence and drive change across all levels of the organisation.
* NEBOSH National General Certificate or equivalent in Occupational Health and Safety.
* Practical, calm and thorough with great attention to detail.
* Happy to be visible in the business.
