Contract Design Engineer Frame & Suspension Structures | Banbury, UK (On-Site) As Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for developing a new frame and suspension concept, focusing on simplicity, durability, and ease of manufacturing. Lead the redesign of the eBikes frame and suspension system. Identify cost-saving opportunities in materials and manufacturing. Develop and refine 3D CAD models in SolidWorks. Optimise suspension layout for reliability, ride quality, and cost efficiency. Ensure the design is robust, scalable, and production-ready. Key Skills and Experience Required To be considered for this Mechanical Design Engineer contract, youll need the following skills and experience: Extensive experience in mechanical design engineering. Expertise in welded steel structures and lightweight frame design. Advanced proficiency in SolidWorks. Strong background in DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and DFA (Design for Assembly). Experience with fatigue analysis and reliability engineering. What youll get £320 - £400 per day (Outside IR35). 2-month initial contract with potential extension.
