Location: Birmingham Hybrid Working The Team Under the leadership of the Director of Business Development & Marketing (BD & M), the department provides a broad range of support to the wider firm across Business Development, Bids, Marketing, Communications and Events, comprising 17 members in total. The Role This is a hands-on role in a busy, business development and marketing team. You will be working alongside a team of specialists who are focussed on developing client relationships, winning new business and developing and maintaining our position as go-to advisors in our sectors. You will work on a range of interesting marketing activities and BD initiatives, building the firm's visibility through a programme of marketing campaigns, thought leadership and events that will raise the profile of the firm and generate new leads as well as analysing client and sector performance. This role is a great opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects and key activities, with exposure to all sectors that the firm works in. Main duties and responsibilities - Supporting the Business Development Managers (BDMs) to deliver sector and client plans and bring new business lines and products to market - Build relationships with external partners to develop the brand - Work with the BDMs and Client Account Leads to review and analyse client performance data and make recommendations - Attending sector meetings as required, supporting the BDMs to progress actions - Regularly collate information for contribution to external newsletters and updates - Support the BDMs with producing financial reports and client account data. - Working on sector campaigns and communications including planning thought leadership & digital content as well as measuring effectiveness and following up and recording activity - Undertaking competitor research and market analysis to assess opportunities and intel. - Managing the firm's CVs and photography process, ensuring new joiners have a CV & headshot and updating all others. - Working alongside the Senior Business Development Executive to collate directory content and manage key deadlines. - Supporting with the firms programme of events, including corporate hospitality, webinars and seminars - Assisting the Events Manager with larger event programmes, including organisation, pre-event set up and registration of guests - Working with the Events Manager to deliver one of our sector Diploma programmes - Maintain and update marketing collateral - Creating engaging email marketing campaigns and invitations via our email marketing platform (Vuture) and produce mailing lists on our CRM (OnePlace) - Using social media to create engaging posts and supporting with the firms website content - Supporting with pre-recorded content, including videos and podcast production - Working with sector teams to ensure Client information is captured within the firm's CRM system and that we get the most out of the system - Working with the Senior CRM Executive to keep the database up-to-date and GDPR compliant, as well as working on CRM development projects - Assisting with firm wide projects and campaigns Other duties Any other duties as reasonably requested by either the Director of BD & M or the Head of Marketing Operations, such as providing support on a wide range of projects and contributing to the general smooth running of the team. Experience The successful candidate is likely to have an existing role in Business Development and Marketing and have: - Relevant experience in a marketing and/or Business Development role, preferably in professional services - Competency in the use of all Microsoft Office Suite applications - Working knowledge of core marketing areas including copy writing, email marketing, website content management and social media - Experience updating and maintaining internal databases/CRM systems - Experience coordinating professional events - Experience of dealing with senior stakeholders - Excellent verbal, presentation and written communication skills with an ability to engage at all levels - The ability to communicate professionally at all levels within the firm and when representing the firm externally - Excellent time-management skills with the ability to prioritise, work calmly under pressure to tight deadlines, and handle last minute changes - Good attention to detail and problem solving skills Candidates will also be expected to demonstrate that they are: - Self-motivated and able to work without direct supervision - Proactive and innovative in their approach - Focused on the delivery of a first class service - A team player who is willing to flex and get involved with a range of events and campaigns - Willing to travel in the UK, work out of office hours and occasionally stay overnight at events - Enthusiastic and inquisitive about the work we deliver and committed to overcoming challenges and taking ownership of tasks. - Focused on helping Capsticks to be Go-to Advisers that clients want by their side able and willing to learn more about the sectors and services at Capsticks Capsticks is an inclusive employer At Capsticks we value diversity and we are committed to creating an inclusive and supportive working environment where everyone is able to be themselves and reach their full potential.
