SW Locums require a Social Work Wales registered Social Worker with demonstratable UK experience in a similar statutory setting to work as a Principal Social Worker in the Enquiry and Assessment Team. You must have a minimum of 3 years post Qualification work experience within Children's assessment services. Minimum Requirements Professional Social Work qualification i.e. MA/Degree in Social Work or recognised predecessor equivalent e.g. CQSW, DipSW, CSS; Right to work in the UK. Enhanced DBS Issued within past 12 months or be registered with the DBS Update Service. Complete the relevant post qualifying awards within a defined period. Knowledge of assessment for care and support needs. A sound understanding of the law relating to Adults/Children and Families. Knowledge of child and adolescent development. Knowledge of safeguarding procedures for children and adults at risk. Knowledge of looked after children statutory guidance and processes. Duties: Undertaking assessments in line with the Social Services and Well-being Act (Wales) 2014 with children, adults and their families/carers, identifying outcomes and where required developing care and support plans, which are monitored and reviewed.
