The National Holocaust Museum is a Holocaust educational charity that blossomed into a nationally accredited museum, and which is now a member of the Arts Council's National Portfolio. There is no place like it. We are the only Holocaust garden museum - embracing you with beautiful memorial rose gardens as you enter. We are the only Holocaust museum in the world founded by Christians - the remarkable Smith family. We are an unusual, warm and uplifting community of Holocaust survivors & their families, together with many schools, friends and supporters. We are located in Laxton in the Sherwood Forest, close to Newark. It is the beauty of our home and of our founding ethos which makes it possible to run highly creative, thought-provoking learning programmes based on immersive experiences and conversation -- for Primary, Secondary and Adult stages. No one reaches more broadly across the social and faith spectrum.
