We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Account Director, working within our Business Development team! Within your role, your core mission is to drive revenue growth and exceed assigned targets within our most strategic accounts. You will play a critical role in maximising revenue potential by developing and executing ambitious account strategies, identifying and capitalising on new opportunities, and expanding Microlise’s footprint across new geographies, products, and client divisions.
This role is pivotal in ensuring Microlise’s position as the trusted partner of choice for enterprise organisations in the transport and logistics sector. What you will be doing:
Own and drive revenue performance across a portfolio of high-value, enterprise accounts, ensuring consistent achievement and exceeding of assigned revenue targets
Develop and implement comprehensive growth strategies designed to maximise account revenue, including upselling, cross-selling, geographic expansion, and engagement with additional divisions or subsidiaries within client organisations
Identify and capitalise on new revenue streams by understanding client needs and market trends, positioning Microlise’s solutions as essential for their success
Build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders, aligning solutions to deliver measurable value and securing long-term partnerships
Act as the primary point of contact for clients, fostering trust and collaboration while ensuring their business goals align with Microlise’s revenue objectives
Ensure timely and effective resolution of client challenges, maintaining satisfaction while driving revenue outcomes
Deliver accurate revenue forecasts, ensuring clarity and consistency in pipeline management and reporting
Monitor, measure, and analyse account performance to optimise growth strategies and exceed revenue expectations
Lead internal teams—including Sales, Marketing, Product, Customer Success, and Finance—to execute account strategies that prioritise revenue growth
What we are looking for:
Demonstrable experience in account management or business development, consistently exceeding revenue targets in SaaS or technology sectors
Strong commercial knowledge of sectors including transport, logistics, retail, automotive, and distribution
Exceptional ability to identify, develop, and close high-value revenue opportunities.
Proficient in contract negotiation, securing agreements that maximise profitability and growth
Ability to develop and execute revenue-focused account strategies aligned with organisational objectives
Analytical mindset to assess data and make informed, revenue-driven decisions.
Strong leadership skills, with experience mobilising cross-functional teams to achieve revenue goals
Expertise in managing relationships with senior stakeholders to uncover and secure revenue opportunities
Ability to travel across the UK and internationally as and when the business requires and a full driving license
