About Us
The Guinness Open Gate Brewery London (GOGBL) is a new Guinness neighbourhood in London that will inspire the best in brewing, food, retail and culture. Consisting of 52,000 square feet of heritage buildings and a central courtyard in the historic brewing quarter in Covent Garden, GOGBL will become a key growth driver for Guinness, placing the brand in culture, driving relevancy and brand saliency amongst a new generation of drinkers.
Key Elements of the Site Include:
* Iconic Guinness Gates as the main entrance to the experience, offering huge cultural impact in the heart of London.
* Restaurants/Taproom/bars – world-class food and beer produced and served on site.
* Central all-weather historic courtyard with a world-class bar experience.
* Retail spaces, one of which will stock items produced through exciting short-term brand collaborations.
* Bespoke 5th-floor glass box rooftop eating and drinking experience creating a brand-new rooftop view of London.
* Brewery and beer experience/tasting tours.
* Cultural events space designed and fitted out with technology to enable world-class meeting and conference experiences.
You Will Be Responsible For:
* Defining the GOGBL culture, influencer and events strategy. Building this out, briefing and end-to-end execution with our selected agency partner.
* Managing the GOGBL culture/PR agency.
* Driving talkability, relevance and excitement. Ensuring GOGBL is positioned as a ‘must-visit’ destination in the UK.
* Consistently bringing the external in. Tapping into trends and bringing to life well thought out and on-brand partnerships.
* Working closely with the Guinness marketing and culture teams to ensure GOGBL is considered in plans and opportunities are maximised.
* Ensuring all plans fit well with the Guinness brand and comply with the Diageo Marketing Code (DMC).
* Working with the Marketing Manager on the delivery of best-in-class partnerships, collaborations and local community campaigns.
* Working with the Digital Marketing & Performance Manager to ensure partnership/collaboration comms are accurate and to develop the affiliate program.
Key Stakeholders:
The role reports into the Head of Sales & Marketing, GOGBL. The role holder will need to build a relationship and work closely with the Sales & Marketing team as well as key contacts within the wider Diageo business, including the Marketing team, Culture team and Partnerships/Brand Experience team.
Qualifications and Experience Required:
* Must have proven experience in PR, events and influencer strategy for a high-profile brand.
* Great experience delivering earned media value to a brand/business and the ability to present this back through insight-driven reporting.
* Demonstrable experience of coordinating successful brand events.
* Excellent relationship-building skills.
* Well-connected with a network of contacts built through experience working with outlets, influencers and talent.
* Experience in managing campaigns of varying scale – from national to hyper-local.
* Great leadership with the ability to steer multiple projects across different stakeholders at any one time.
* Agency and budget management.
