Senior Pricing Analyst (Risk) Salary competitive based on experience FTC until 31st December 2025 Hybrid Home and London Hub As a Senior Pricing Analyst (Risk), you will be managing the oversight of the risk management framework for Sagas street pricing to support the delivery of the insurance strategy, customer outcomes and contribution to the achievement of the overall P&L for Saga Services (SSL). We are looking for an experienced pricing expert who has a proven track record of developing innovative solutions to continuously improve Saga Services' pricing capabilities. Were in the business of risk; this role will influence all aspects of the pricing process to ensure these risks are well managed and controlled, whilst maximising customer and commercial outcomes. Experience in personal lines, especially one of our 4 products: Motor, Home, Travel and Private Medical, is essential. You will bring an understanding of the drivers of best-in-class street pricing and commercial success in a Personal Lines insurance business and implement innovative and new processes to generate value. You will be working closely with the Pricing Managers to develop and implement complex solutions to help continuously improve our pricing capabilities. Additionally, you will work closely with the wider business to use your Pricing expertise to support key aspects of the Groups strategy and the companys key shareholder objectives. You will work collaboratively with all in the pricing team to assess current risk controls for effectiveness and help set plans with the team to improve risk management, focusing on regulatory compliance, customer outcomes and commercial outcomes. Other accountabilities include: Provide pricing thought leadership using your experience of insurance pricing and data. Provide subject matter expert support in your areas of expertise on strategic projects. Ensure adherence to pricing fairness rules and data usage policies. Leading and developing design and operational risk control effectiveness testing, ensuring that control weaknesses are identified as part of the process and action is taken to enhance the control framework. Raising and owning SSL Pricing Incidents and responsible for the teams incident management and root cause analysis in accordance with the Saga Insurance Incident Policy. Risk Management Reporting, including but not limited to; Regulatory MI, Control Effectiveness and Self-Assessment Results, Conduct MI and Incident Updates. Maintaining and facilitating regular reviews of the SSL Pricing risk register while working closely with the Heads of Pricing and Chief Commercial Officer. Model, interpret and monitor business data to identify and confirm market trends, product opportunities and new / changing regulatory or customer factors. Make recommendations based on your analysis. Pricing support for business change initiatives. Provide pricing support to the project to begin our new Affinity partnership with Ageas, for our Home and Motor products. The Ideal Candidate As a Senior Pricing Analyst (Risk), personal lines experience is essential, ideally within one of our core 4 products: Motor, Home, Travel and Private Medical. Other industry experience would include: Understanding of regulatory requirements in relation to pricing. Detailed knowledge of General Insurance pricing processes and methodologies. Being able to work to a high degree of accuracy. Strong numerical and statistical capabilities. Inquisitive, natural problem solver. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong influencing and relationship management skills. Possesses strong team coaching/management abilities and actively motivates others to win. Proactive, enthusiastic, and self-motivated. Strong organisational skills, e.g. time management, documentation etc. Knowledge of modelling software, such as Radar, Emblem, or similar systems is an advantage. Experience in some programming languages such as SQL, R and Python is an advantage.
