To support our growth, we are looking to recruit a Legal Counsel/Executive, with a great work ethic and the ability to work under their own initiative, to support our in-house legal team.
This is a great opportunity to get involved with one of the fastest-growing companies in an industry that is going to see huge growth over the coming years, whether that would be making a move from private practice or working in-house previously.
Role Overview:
The role will include, but is not limited to, the below tasks:
* Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating leases with the client’s solicitor
* Carrying out title reviews and circulating this to the internal teams together with raising any necessary title enquiries with the Landlord’s solicitor
* Supporting the development of standard legal documents and templates
* Drafting and issuing Exclusivity Agreements
* Working closely with external solicitors and internal teams to ensure processes are followed throughout the lifetime of the project
* Conducting searches
* HMLR Applications
* Reviewing Contracts (including HoTs, AFL, and general commercial contracts)
* Maintaining a high level of personal integrity and drive
* Being team-oriented
* Exhibiting excellent written and spoken English
* Having experience of commercial leases
* Able to work to deadlines, prioritize own workload effectively under pressure, and manage conflicting priorities
* Being proactive and energetic with a tenacious approach to identifying issues and solving them
* Able to progress tasks using own initiative, seeking guidance and input from others where necessary
Required Qualifications:
* Experience of Contract and Land Law processes and procedures is essential
* At least 12 months of previous legal experience in a similar position
* Degree/CILEx educated
