We need you As a key member of our team, you'll play a crucial role in driving projects from concept to completion, collaborating with stakeholders, and ensuring our projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget. Your day-to-day tasks will include: Supporting the development of a range of energy projects in the capital programme from early feasibility through to completion Assisting with the planning and budgeting for the ongoing asset management programme for all energy assets. Providing project management guidance and advice to clients and project teams, helping them navigate complex projects and processes. Conducting research, analysing data, and making informed decisions to drive project success. Embedding a safety-first culture, upholding health and safety regulations, and promoting best practices across the team. Motivating and mentoring colleagues, sharing your expertise, and contributing to the growth and development of our high-performing team. What we need from you: Capability of planning and managing a pipeline of projects lasting over a year, from initial feasibility to full design and implementation. Project management skills. Analytical skills. Your communication skills help you build relationships with stakeholders, enabling you to inform and influence their decisions in line with County Council objectives. Problem-solving skills to anticipate and resolve issues before they arise, make sound pragmatic decisions concerning risk management. Experience demonstrating application of specialist knowledge in a relevant setting (such as local government or energy infrastructure). You have used your financial numeracy skills to successfully manage project budgets. You have supervised the contribution of others to your project, managing the quality and meeting deadlines. Desirable attributes Hold a Project Management qualification (e.g. Prince 2).
