Architect/Chartered Architectural Technologist Role Profile To support our ambitions and growing portfolio of work across the country, we are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Architect or Chartered Technologist to help strengthen and build our team. We cover all RIBA work stages from conceptual design to detailed planning and technical drawings, to delivering on site projects through to completion. To make a success of this position you must be able to work under your own initiative, have a willingness to learn, with a keen focus on the technical side of the profession. An understanding of working practices, building regulations and a proficiency in Revit is required to undertake the role. You will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with our team of architects and architectural technologists based in the Kettering office with a keen interest with facilitating the on going growth of the team. There is a focus on independent working, undertaking and leading on site visits and face to face client interactions. Berrys is fundamentally lead by our rural client base and a benefit of this is the wide ranging scope of projects we take on as a team, which are focused but not limited to agricultural design. Architect/Chartered Architectural Technologist Person Specification You will be required to be involved with work on a variety of interesting projects across all stages within the RIBA Plan of Work, with tasks including but not limited to: • Direct communication & client liaison • Undertaking measured building surveys • Conceptual designs and feasibility studies • Preparation of detailed planning drawings • Production of technical construction documentation and working drawings • Production of detailed specification documents and overseeing tendering procedures and procurement • On site experience with the opportunity for project management and contract administration Architect/Chartered Architectural Technologist Requirements • Previous experience working with planning and technical drawing packages • Good communication skills • Ability and confidence to liaise with professionals outside of the team • Proficiency in Revit is required • IT literate • Strength in time management, administration and organization • Ability to use Adobe Suite (desirable) • Comfortable with undertaking site visits and a confidence with driving Hours: 37.5 hours per week, to be worked flexibly Monday-Friday.
