Position: Legal Counsel, Public Procurement Role Type: Full-Time, Permanent Location: Fully Remote (Ad hoc travel to office) Salary Guide: £55,000 - £70,000 per annum (DOE) Car Allowance Bonus Benefits Our client, a leading organisation in the tech sector, is seeking to hire a Legal Counsel with a background in public procurement contracts to join their legal team. This is an exciting opportunity for a UK qualified Solicitor with around 1 to 4 years PQE and experience in public procurement law to play a pivotal role in advising on a wide range of procurement, commercial, and contractual matters. Role Specification: Provide legal advice on the structure and establishment of public procurement contracts. Draft and review tender documents and advise on procurement risks. Support the business on contract modifications, governance matters, and general procurement queries. Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with procurement regulations. Offer guidance on dispute resolution processes related to procurement challenges. Stay ahead of regulatory changes in the procurement landscape and proactively advise the business. Where necessary, manage external counsel to ensure high-quality outputs. Candidate Requirements: UK Qualified Solicitor, 1 to 4 years PQE with experience in public procurement contracts. Have handled non-contentious procurement matters, ideally within the NHS, local government, or public sector. Knowledge of data protection/GDPR regulations. In-House and/or Private Practice background will be considered. Strong negotiation and influencing skills, with the ability to advise stakeholders. Excellent written and verbal communication skills for drafting legal documentation and delivering training. Experience handling risk assessment, governance, and contract management. Why Apply?
