Salary: £42,000 - £52,000, plus bonus and other benefits.

Following on from the success of Hinkley Point C (HPC), the Sizewell C Project is a nuclear new build project in Suffolk, which has obtained planning approval and Government financing support. The project has started construction and is now seeking private investment. When completed, it will provide dependable electricity to 6 million homes for 60 years, which along with renewables, will support Britain to achieve Net Zero by 2050.
We’re excited to offer a unique opportunity for a Surveillance Coordinator to join our team. This important role is all about driving collaboration and ensuring seamless coordination across multiple areas of our business in order to help deliver the design on time and to the right quality.
Timely performance of surveillance activities is critical to demonstrating design assurance and ensuring we can deliver the Engineering for SZC. As the Surveillance Coordinator, you’ll play a vital role in managing and overseeing these surveillance activities. Your focus is to oversee our processes and bring people together – ensuring that our technical teams are aligned, informed and able to deliver their scope effectively.
The Role
As the Surveillance Co-Ordinator you’ll be the critical link connecting various parts of the business, including the Engineering teams, Programme teams, and Project Managers.
Coordinate and Connect: You will engage with a range of stakeholders to ensure surveillance activities are adequately planned and appropriately delivered.
Monitor outputs: You will oversee and monitor the performance of both our Contractors and our technical teams, manage interfaces related to the provision of data, and be responsible for reporting progress
Engage with Engineering: You will drive the Engineering teams to deliver surveillance on time and to the right quality. You will help them to solve problems and recognise where critical issues need to be escalated.
Strategize and Lead: You will co-ordinate and support the development of our Surveillance Strategy and Surveillance Plans, actively monitoring performance to drive continuous improvement.
About You
You are highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise effectively and coordinate across teams.
Your strong communication skills, both verbal and written, enable you to liaise confidently with various stakeholders.
You excel at problem-solving, quickly identifying issues and implementing solutions to keep things moving forward.
With a blend of leadership experience and technical knowledge, you’re able to lead teams, manage strategies, and understand engineering processes to ensure seamless surveillance operations.
The Skills
* Experience working in large infrastructure projects
* Demonstrable experience in Project Engineering, Contract Management or Technical Co-ordination
* Excellent communication skills in client-facing and contractor-facing situations.
* Highly organised and ability to work independently.
* Proficiency in IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel.
Desirable
* Previous experience in the nuclear industry.
* Some prior knowledge of Intelligent Customer requirements and surveillance processes
* Previous engineering or project management experience in a relevant industry.
