We’re looking for a Maintenance Assistant to join our team, helping keep our stunning wedding venues in top condition and ready for every event. As a Maintenance Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in the upkeep of our venues, assisting with event setup and ensuring a seamless experience for our guests and wedding couples. If you have a can-do attitude, hands-on skills, and a passion for beautiful spaces, this role could be perfect for you!
Key Responsibilities:
1. General Maintenance: Perform daily checks to ensure the smooth operation of the building, grounds, and equipment.
2. Guest & Venue Support: Support the housekeeping, bar, and events teams in setting up rooms and moving furniture for weddings and other events.
3. Venue Safety: Enhance guest safety by placing signage for wet floors, fresh paint, or other maintenance needs.
4. Upkeep of Public Spaces: Keep public areas tidy and well-maintained, contributing to the venue’s elegant atmosphere.
5. Repairs & Upkeep: Perform general maintenance tasks, including replacing light bulbs, painting, decorating, and other DIY tasks as needed.
6. Facility Checks: Conduct regular checks on gas and kerosene levels, drains, bio units, and bins to ensure efficient operation.
7. Hot Tub Maintenance: Clean and maintain hot tubs, ensuring a pristine experience for guests.
About You:
1. Practical Skills: You have general DIY and maintenance skills, with experience in basic repairs and upkeep.
2. Physically Fit: Comfortable moving furniture and handling larger items as part of setup and takedown for events.
3. Attentive & Proactive: You’re detail-oriented, with good listening skills to understand the needs of guests and coworkers.
4. Strong Communicator: Clear and effective in your communication with both team members and guests.
5. Reliable & Professional: You take ownership of tasks, work well with others, and consistently deliver high standards.
