Job Opportunity: Physiotherapy & Occupational Therapy Post-16 Team Expansion
The Special Schools Physiotherapy & Occupational Therapy (PTOT) team in Sheffield is expanding to enhance support for students in Post-16 education. We are excited to offer a newly funded role as part of a team of 20 experienced PTOT professionals dedicated to delivering exceptional care across four Special Schools.

Main duties of the job
Reporting into the Special Schools Team Leader, your responsibilities will include:
1. Deliver high-quality occupational therapy care as part of the occupational therapy, physiotherapy, and multi-professional teams within the Special School service.
2. Conduct routine occupational therapy assessments for children and young people, addressing different conditions and challenges both within schools and family homes.
3. Provide diagnoses of occupational therapy-related issues.
4. Develop your knowledge to create tailored treatment programs for each young person, promoting individual progress.
5. Manage a designated caseload of children and young people within the school setting, working under guidance to ensure service delivery.
6. Take on clinical responsibilities as a developing autonomous practitioner, while seeking advice, training, and support from senior therapists and multi-disciplinary team members when needed.

1. HCPC registration
2. Diploma / Degree in Occupational Therapy
3. Portfolio evidence of reflective practice
4. An under-graduate case study, essay or dissertation on a paediatric topic
5. Good overall clinical record / profile

1. Experience of team working
