We are seeking someone to be a point of contact to staff and public who will undertake all aspects of Zone Working. These will include:
Street Care
Street Cleansing
Environmental enforcement
Small works & maintenance tasks
Community education & engagement.
This role will be exceptionally active and will need an individual keen on improving quality of life for our residents and improving the street scene. Based in Colchester City centre the Neighbourhood Warden will need to be able to work on their own initiative whilst on patrol, with a ‘See it, Solve it’ attitude taking ownership of any issues and acting as a catalyst to resolve them.
This person will need to be self-motivated, be able to build and maintain relationships with public and Councillors and have confidence to work with the public on both education and enforcement matters, as well as experience of conflict resolution.
This role works on a shift rota that includes evenings and weekends.
