Fund Accountant - Leading Secondaries Private Equity Fund - c£75k + c40% bonus
Autumnal Partners are currently recruiting on behalf of a rapidly growing secondaries private equity fund manager. The London-based team is expanding and looking for a Fund Accountant—someone with a Big 4 background and a few years of post-qualified experience in fund accounting.
This is a broad and varied role with real depth. Alongside reviewing financials, NAVs, and investor reports, you’ll work across capital activity, fund expense allocations, and liaise with multiple teams including investments, treasury, tax, and client services.

You'll work closely with senior leadership, gaining exposure to board reporting, audit processes, and fund structuring—making this ideal for someone ambitious, organised, and looking to step into a more commercial, hands-on role.
Role Responsibilities include:
1. Review quarterly and annual financial statement packages including investor reporting.
2. Review work product from fund administrator including capital call and distribution allocations and notices.
3. Liaise with other areas of organization, including the investment team, tax, client services, performance reporting, treasury and fund operations. Assist with managing cash expenditures and maintain fund budgets with service providers and internal approvals.
4. Review of fund expenses for appropriateness under limited partnership agreement and allocation across fund vehicles and business management.
5. Review and understand partnership agreements and accounting methodologies.
6. Respond to investor audit confirmations and ad hoc queries.
7. Work closely with senior team members on accounting and operational issues.
Additional Responsibilities
1. Manage internal and external audit requests.
2. Preparation of weekly platform and operations agenda.
3. Preparation of quarterly board of directors’ presentation and risk reports.
4. Coordinate delivery of investment documentation to fund administrator and depositary.
5. Assist with Fund Finance special projects where needed.
Applicants should be ACA qualified ideally Big 4 trained with 2-3 years post qualified in fund accounting ideally Private Equity but the client is open to other asset classes.
