National Account / Commercial Manager - up to c 65k, car or allowance, 10% bonus plus usual benefits.

Job Purpose
To develop a strategy for the accounts that delivers against company/customer KPI’s, deliver budgeted sales, track spend and profit measures and be recognised as the undisputed expert in the relevant customer space both internally and externally.
Key accountabilities and responsibilities
1. Full P&L responsible for a portfolio of customers - specifically within Retail.
2. Maintaining & developing current accounts whilst bringing new customers to the business.
3. Assisting with the Delivery of the Company Strategy.
4. Implementing, negotiating and managing Customer Plans to deliver mutually profitable sales growth in-line with company/customer KPI’s.
5. Establish and maintain the appropriate invoice pricing structure, delivering cost increases as required.
6. Manage, monitor & drive ROI of trade spend at all levels – off-invoice, promotional, fixed, contractual ensuring 100% conditional.
7. Leverage Category Management principles to deliver win win solutions – including distribution, new listings and range review gains.
8. Developing a mutually profitable business plan; framework for growth on all key metrics.
9. Working closely with the Development team on business planning and leading cross functional teams.
10. Ensure ‘good housekeeping’ via efficient ledger query management (price, invoice, claims).
11. Adhere to Internal process & timescales for forecasting & business planning.
12. To personally ensure that all aspects of Due Diligence (Food Safety, Quality and Legislation) are adhered to.
13. To personally take the appropriate and reasonable action in the event of witnessing a breach (or potential breach) of Food Safety, Quality or Legislation.
Required Technical skills:
1. Experience of food service is essential to succeed in this role.
2. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
3. Strong presentation skills with the confidence and passion for selling.
4. Excellent negotiator and results driven.
5. Experience of effective external stakeholder management.
6. Demonstrable experience in a fast paced sales environment.
7. Good market awareness coupled with the ability to build, lead, negotiate and conclude commercially sound Customer Plans and Core Business.

1. Educated to degree level.
2. Strong commercial acumen, confidence to make commercially sound decisions.
3. Ability to build, lead, negotiate and conclude commercially sound customer JBP’s.
4. Experience in dealing with multiple customers at various (incl Senior) levels.
5. Proven ability in analysing and interpreting all available data.
6. Demonstrates good customer awareness.
