Job Title: Shift Mechanical Engineer (Plant Room Experience Required)

We are currently seeking a skilled Shift Mechanical Engineer with expertise in plant room operations to join our dynamic team. As a Shift Mechanical Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the maintenance and operation of mechanical systems within our facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conducting routine inspections and maintenance of mechanical systems, particularly focusing on plant room equipment.
2. Responding promptly to equipment breakdowns and ensuring swift resolution to minimise downtime.
3. Performing preventive maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance and longevity of mechanical systems.
4. Collaborating with other departments to coordinate maintenance activities and ensure seamless operations.
5. Keeping accurate records of maintenance activities, including logbooks and reports.
6. Adhering to health and safety protocols and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
7. Level 3 City and Guilds qualification in Plumbing or Building Services Engineering.
8. Proven experience working with plant room equipment and mechanical systems in a similar role.
9. Strong technical knowledge and troubleshooting skills related to mechanical systems.
10. Ability to work effectively in a shift-based environment, including weekends and holidays as required.
11. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
12. Attention to detail and a proactive approach to maintenance and problem-solving.
Preferred Skills:
13. Additional certifications or qualifications in mechanical engineering or related fields.
14. Experience with HVAC systems and controls.
15. Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations.
