Job summary The Sustainability role offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to join the Estates Team at Alder Hey. The post holder will support the development and delivery of the Environment Strategy and action plan, leading on key aspects including the implementation of an organisation-wide Environmental Management System, functioning as a specialist on all mandatory and legal environmental requirements. They will be forward thinking, able to assess potential legal risks and problems, making sound judgments around issues that may have an adverse effect on the business from environment and sustainability perspectives. The post holder will work alongside multiple teams across the site to drive environmental improvements, including alongside our Estates team to design and oversee the organisation's carbon management plan. They will have excellent communication skills and the ability to establish a maintain good working relationships with others. Main duties of the job To deliver Greener NHS programme data projects related to delivery of the NHS Long Term Plan and Delivering a Net Zero National Health System report commitments.
