We are looking for a Facilities Electrical Engineer to undertake the following duties on a day-to-day basis: Key responsibilities Provide maintenance support (Including Installation, planned, preventive and reactive maintenance) in relation to site services, plant/equipment. Carry out testing, inspection & certification of distribution boards and fixed wiring installations. Form part of the on-call rota within the Maintenance Team. Seasonal shift pattern (some weekends/evenings). Carry out repairs and corrective works of internal & external wiring systems. Prioritisation of work programme to satisfy business needs. Maintenance & installation of emergency lighting. Oversee the conduct of contractors on site, monitoring the implementation and performance of tasks allocated. Deliver specialist technical support and services in relation to building plant/equipment. Wiring fault diagnostics. Knowledge of plant room electrical services, including motors, pumps, FCU etc. Be able to follow site plans & schematic drawings. Ensure maintenance standards and quality of work delivered are to the required level. Ensure robust application of health, safety and environmental procedures and processes. Ensure a professional approach is always delivered with particular emphasis on maintaining confidentiality. Adhere to all company policies & procedures, particularly to health & safety. Any other duties as and when required. Knowledge/Experience/Skills/Abilities Engineering/Technical qualification (Apprenticeship or NVQ 3 in relevant discipline i.e. Electrical The candidate should be able to write reports/job sheets either manually or electronically. BS7671 17th or 18th Edition City & Guilds qualification. C&G 2391 Inspection, Testing and Certification of Electrical Installations or C&G 2394 Initial Verification and C&G 2395 Periodic Inspection and Testing Existing Installations or equivalent. Experience in building services Full clean UK driving licence. Good knowledge and level of competency in other areas of building services (BMS, Mechanical) Personal Attributes Highly conscientious, reliable and punctual.
