Are you passionate about education and eager to make a significant impact on students' lives? Join our dynamic secondary school as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA). In this exciting role, you'll work alongside teachers in classrooms to support and nurture students, providing targeted small group interventions that boost their learning. You'll take the lead in delivering social communication interventions for Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, helping students develop essential social skills. Additionally, you'll be responsible for writing detailed one plans and student passports, tailoring educational strategies to meet individual needs. Communication with parents is key, and you'll play a vital role in building strong relationships to ensure the best outcomes for our students.
Minimum Requirements:
1. GCSE qualification grade C/level 5 or above, or equivalent, in English and Maths.
2. HLTA/L4 Teaching Assistant qualification or willingness to achieve it within 12 months of appointment.
Pay Band: Scale 5 (scp 9 to 12), which is £26,409 to £27,711.
Hours: 28 hours per week, Monday to Friday, required term time, plus five staff training days (39 weeks in total), working between the hours of 8.55 am to 3.30 pm, with one afternoon working to 4.00 pm.
Actual Salary: £17,133.45 to £17,978.15 (under 5 years' service) or £17,363.43 to £18,219.47 (over 5 years' service).
