About the role Bakkavor has set the vision to transform its technology platforms to deliver an outstanding customer and colleague experience. To deliver on our ambition the Senior Deliver Manager is responsible to define the optimum project approach and take overarching responsibility for the delivery and governance of major projects, programmes and incremental change for the Data Delivery domain, with an early priority around supporting the successful delivery of a new S4 Hana implementation for Bakkavor. The role holder will have proven technical and delivery expertise in their domain, coupled with proven experience of thriving in matrix, collegiate and integrated delivery environments with both internal/outsourced delivery teams, and in delivery complex projects and programmes. As a dynamic, self-starting, pragmatic, hands on and confident leader they will manage projects, portfolios and support all stages of project delivery, including actively identifying, developing and acting upon risk and opportunities across their domain. Forming part of the Extended Leadership team, the role will contribute to the development and execution of the enterprise-wide IT strategy and ensure its alignment with the enterprise's business strategy and the delivery of technology capabilities required to achieve business success. They will also be a key member of the Transformation Office chapter targeted to integrate and commoditize technology delivery/business change processes in Bakkavor. Role Accountabilities Take responsibility for creating the delivery roadmaps for the data workstream within specific projects or programmes. Driving delivery of the data domain across projects and programmes aligned to a delivery roadmap. Financial & Resource Management within the data domain - ensuring that the necessary capability is in place to deliver the activity. Taje responsibility for the delivery & execution of the data domain, in collaboration with the domain lead, and within the governance of relevant projects and programmes. Governance & Risk Management Partner Contract, Legal & Regulatory Compliance, Review & Performance Monitoring Team Leadership & Capability Building Continuous Improvement & Innovation About you Ideally you will hold a Bachelor's degree in Information, Systems, Finance, Business or other relevant discipline. Experience: Experience leading delivery of data migration, data transformation and analytics initiatives, preferably including experience of introducing new, modern technology into an organisation A history of working with technical teams within data and report engineering as well as engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders at a senior level A proficiency of working with waterfall, agile and dev ops methodologies. Skills Ability to work with high levels of complexity and detail and effectively summarise into the key themes for effective stakeholder communication Competency to focus on the core issues during delivery to aid effective delivery Background / Key Attributes: Significant overall experience, with much of this spent within data, within industry and / or Project / Programme Significant experience on large scale projects with successful delivery and experience of the full project lifecycle Demonstrable experience of accurate and effective Project/Programme reporting Ability to manage project financials and commercials, on all projects within domain. Ensure full and detailed planning of budget forecasts and cash outflows Actively searches for quality improvements in the project, and actively resolves with support as required` Steers and controls a project with respect to resources and time in connection with the overall Bakkavor situation/environment Recognised project management certification e.g. PRINCE2®, Agile PM®, PMP, MSP, PMI, PMQ Experience in deploying technology in similar industries to Bakkavor e.g. manufacturing, engineering, wholesale, consumer products, food Moderates' conflicts in projects, brings about compromises, and is assertive and convincing Demonstrates a high level of commitment to Bakkavor commercial and transformation strategy Experience of determining and driving high delivery standards and business change to make sure colleague / customer needs are met and exceeded Excellent written/verbal communication skills with both non-technical as well as technical audiences managing successful communications with governance boards and stakeholders Open-minded collaborative approach to leadership with an empathy for the needs of colleagues/customers Highly organised with the ability to see 'the big picture' and a strong focus on outcomes Strong stakeholder engagement capability, and ability to influence and motivate others Must be able to think and plan strategically; yet possess a detail-oriented, pragmatic management approach Flexibility to travel within the UK, with time away from home at critical periods of project implementation/go live to assure a high-quality outcome.
