This George.com Product Owner role sits within the Customer and Channels function and is a wide-ranging role. Supporting the Product Manager, you will define scope and manage the backlog of a specific set of products. You will be good with numbers and be able to tell the story of your products performance, whilst spotting those crucial new opportunities to optimise. It is a critical time for digital at Asda. We are making a massive move from legacy systems to a best-in-class retail tech-stack. Critical but also super exciting This may be your first steps into product, or you may be coming from business analysis or project role – you will be enthusiastic and a self-starter. What does the role involve? Work with the Product Manager of your area in the creation of epics and stories Lead key agile ceremonies within the product lifecycle during sprints Shape and define the product backlog, gather customer and/or colleague needs Support optimisation of existing features, technology and systems, to ensure Asda continue to develop a culture of data and insight driven improvement Support the delivery of new product development and product launches, supporting with colleague training and customer comms where required Working cross functionally across product initiatives, to seek opportunities to reduce costs and optimise quality Work with Product Managers, Group Product Managers and other relevant stakeholders to support progress of the product developments and customer experience enhancements “ Let's find out about you” Have experience of either product management, ideally with a focus on front-end customer experiences. Make decisions driven by data and insight and be comfortable interpreting customer data Have confidence when speaking to others, with strong written communication too Be uncompromising in a customer led approach Be comfortable with changing workloads and priorities.
