Our mission is to empower individuals to rebuild their lives and achieve independence.The service you will work in….A day in this role looks like working within both accommodation based service for 9 male individuals with various support needs and offending history, and also working with individuals in the community supporting with tenancy sustainment and other other related housing management support and sign posting. You will be working in a team environment with other support workers and floating support workers. As a Senior Support Worker at Hestia, you will play a crucial role in our Orwell House/BTSS. Your contributions will directly influence the lives of our service users, guiding them towards a path of empowerment and independence.A day will never look the same and some of the things you can expect to do/be responsible for are:Manage a caseload of Service Users\\\' with a range of complex health and support needs and their carers to manage their health and wellbeing, maintain their independence, identify their strengths and achieve their goals and aspirations.Administer a range of medications within protocol and within current Hestia policy, and document this accurately. Order, store and record prescribed medication under the supervision of the Manager and in accordance with Hestia\\\'s policies and procedures. Where appropriate, complete drug audits as per policy.Willingness to work unsociable hours within a rota system including weekends, eveningsExcellent knowledge of CQC Standards, Housing, Community care, CPA Health and Safety and DWP legislation.To clearly articulate the aims and objectives, pathway and service model to people using the service so they can fully participate in and co-produce their support.Empower service users to engage effectively in their liaisons with professionals within the community such as social work teams, housing providers, health professionals.Work flexibly as part of a team to ensure service coverage and that contractual obligations are met.Develop co-produced group activities, peer support networks and other community-based approaches to empowering service users to achieve their goals and aspirations and to encourage service users to access these opportunities.Actively monitor the health, wellbeing, safety and security of the service and its users ensuring all concerns are followed up promptly and in line with procedures.Participate in the core work of the service, providing support to colleagues, carrying out tasks allocated by the service manager and using initiative to identify and deal with additional tasks as they arise.Ensure that administration is done in good time; that detailed, concise and accurate records are created contemporaneously and that confidentiality is appropriately maintained.Carry out duties, in line with organisational policies and procedures.Must have completed a NVQ approved training or willing to undertake an approve Qualification and Credit Framework (QCF) training.Ability to manage the service (including supervising staff) in the absence of the Team Manager.
