Here at Stonewater, we are now looking for a Domestic Abuse Worker to offer high quality, person-centred and trauma informed safe accommodation and support services to survivors of Domestic Abuse, enabling them to move on into safe, stable, and positive futures.
You will manage a diverse caseload in the community, supporting survivors to remain safely in their homes or exploring temporary accommodation options. You will work closely with key partners, deliver quality, outcome focused support in both one-to-one and group sessions, and provide both emotional and practical support including keeping safe, healthy relationships, substance use, mental health and wellbeing, finance and budget management and employment skills.
This is a floating support role covering our services in Herefordshire.
The ideal candidate will have:
* Proven experience of working with people who have multiple complex needs and/or those who have experienced domestic abuse.
* An understanding of the practical, emotional, economic, and social issues of those experiencing domestic abuse, particularly those with multiple complex needs.
* Experience in completing risk assessments and carrying out robust safety planning.
* Proven experience of complex caseload management, with a clear focus on outcomes for customers and their wider community and ability to record concise, accurate case notes and support paperwork.
* An understanding of the effects of domestic abuse related trauma, appropriate responses and professional boundaries.
* The ability to demonstrate partnership working with specialist agencies such as mental health teams, offending services or other relevant services.
* Experience of attending MARAC and MASH meetings, with an understanding of the processes behind these meetings.
* The ability to provide quality, short term casework.
* Working knowledge of housing and benefits advice and experience of using a housing management / domestic abuse system or similar software.
