Overview of the role:
As a Planning Apprentice at Delkia, you will play a pivotal role in the development and delivery of projects
within the organisation. Working closely with the Project Planner and our multidisciplinary teams, you will support the creation and baselining of project schedules coupled to the linked regular monitoring/controlling activities. Provide support in the proactive management of Delkia’s project/programmes by interfacing with its project managers during the monthly project reporting (internally & externally) reporting cycle.
What you’ll be responsible for:
* Assist in the creation of project schedules using Primavera P6 software.
* Support the senior planner in maximising resource utilisation, tracking project milestones, and updating portfolio/programme/project schedules.
* Participate in team meetings to discuss project progress, potential delays, and resource needs.
* Conduct research and data collection to ensure accurate reporting of project status.
* Assist with preparing documentation and project reports for internal and external stakeholders
* Support the creation/enhancement of P6 processes, procedures and assist in the facilitation of planning best practice within Delkia Ltd.
* Learn to recognise and identity critical path activities, potential schedule risks and propose mitigation approaches
* Support in the monitoring of project progress and update schedules as necessary to reflect performance (actuals & forecast).
* Aid, as appropriate, in the management of project change.
* Assist in the generation of reports and help provide analysis on project schedule performance, resource utilisation.
