We are seeking an enthusiastic Care co-ordinator/Receptionist.
We are looking for someone who is lively and bubbly with a can-do attitude and are used to working in a high pressured environment. With care being the forefront of your mind.
Experienced as a Care co-ordinator/Receptionistin the NHS, in General Practice with EMIS experience is desirable, but not essential. *please see job specification and job description
Rate of pay £13/hr which will we increase to £ on completion of a successful Probation.
Full time permanent / hours over 5 days over the full 7 day week.
Must be flexible with hours and days.
Practice opening hours is between - 18:30pm
We are located in Deptford/New Cross, 2 min walk from New Cross Train Station.
Our practice has an expanding population; current list size: 15800 patients.

3. Drug and Alcohol
We are unique as we offer out of area registrations to any patient within England, so wherever you are in England, a patient can register with us.

Main duties of the job
You'll be working along the side of a friendly team of;
13 Receptionists/Administrators
1 Reception Manager
1 Operations Manager
10 GPs
2 Advanced Nurse Practitioners
5 Nurses
1 Paramedic
1 Health Care Assistant
1 Clinical Pharmacist
1 Trainee GP
The main duties will involve receptionist work with some administration such as DOCMAN and QOF.
Not only will you deal with admin and patients, you will have targeted areas to help achieve big results, such as QOF.

Job responsibilities
Receive, assist and direct patients in accessing the appropriate service or healthcare professional in a courteous, efficient and effective way.
Provide general assistance to the practice team and project a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors, either in person or via the telephone. Be flexible at all times to assist colleagues and business needs.
Job responsibilities:
Administration
To have a thorough knowledge of all practice procedures
To work in accordance of written protocols
Opening and distributing post accordingly
Changing back-up tape when colleagues on annual leave/sickness absence
Pulling/filing notes and updating as necessary
Scanning/filing patient documents into Docman distributing amongst clinicians as per practice protocol
Photocopy as requested
Reception
Be able to cover all reception positions as necessary
Cover colleagues annual leave/sickness absence when required
Receiving patients, consulting with members of practice team
Handing completed repeat prescriptions to patient and checking names and address
Appointments
Process appointment requests for today/future appointments from patients by telephone and in person following a strict triage system
Deal with visits/requests according to practice protocol
Computer
Registrations of new patients computer data entry and medical records
Process patients changes of address computer data and medical records (have knowledge of practice area)
Process repeat prescription requests in accordance with practice guidelines
Telephone
Have working knowledge of telephone system, during and after hours
Other Tasks
Provision of refreshments for staff and visitors as required; loading and emptying the dishwasher and keeping the kitchen area clean and tidy
Keeping the reception area, notice-boards and leaflet dispensers tidy and free from obstructions and clutter
Clear rooms after surgeries as and when required
Ensure building security have thorough knowledge of doors/windows/alarm
Having target driven areas to help achieve max results for example QOF.

Experience
Essential
13. Receptionist Experience.
14. Must be able to Multitask Experience of working in a high paced environment.
15. Must able to have a typing speed of 40 WPM.
Desirable
16. Experience using EMIS, DOCMAN10, work in general practice Experience of dealing with clients on the phone Triage knowledge Experience of working in the NHS.
17. Experience of Social media / Content handling such as TikTok and Youtube.
