The post holder will lead on specific projects as determined by the Public Health Consultant and Principal lead for the Vaccination portfolio and the Senior Management Team of the Immunisation & Health Protection Operational Team, providing oversight of the teams research portfolio while working with the UHBs R&D team to monitor commercial and non-commercial research projects. The post holder will sit within the Public Health Team and develop and maintain relationships with the colleagues in the Immunisation & Health Protection Operational Team, to ensure the research is topical within the immunisation and health protection sphere. They will provide an important link between R&D and the local team providing specialist R&D knowledge and expertise to guide Investigators through the national and local R&D framework. They will support the performance and management of studies from early application through to close down providing solutions to financial and other resource aspects where required to enable the delivery of research, insight and quality improvement projects in line with strategic aims and work with local Research Delivery and R&D teams in meeting any performance targets.
