Working Pattern - Hybrid – 2 days per week in the Vitality Bournemouth Office. Full time, 35 hours per week.

What this role is all about:
This Finance Analyst role is integral to the successful performance of the Finance Business Partnering team. The role has key input into supporting the partnering of the Enterprise function as well as month-end accounting, reporting and reconciliation of the expenses within the Vitality Services Company. The role would suit a go-getting person with a keen eye and passion for simplification, automation, and digitalisation of processes as well as interest in the Business Partnering space.
Key Actions
4. Preparation of functional expense prepayments, accruals, and reallocations.
5. Administrative system related tasks to ensure smooth running of expense processing.
6. Aid the Senior Finance Analyst and Senior Business Partner with, and in some cases drive, the reporting, forecasting, and budgeting within the function.
7. Supporting the Senior Finance Analyst and Senior Business Partner with ad-hoc queries and analysis.
8. Fixed Asset accounting calculation and IFRS16 lease accounting.
9. Preparation of monthly expenses performance pack decks and RMAR (quarterly regulatory form).
10. Monthly tasks including balance sheet reconciliations including intercompany accounts, reviewing any discrepancies and monthly services company expense recharges, reconciliations, and invoicing.
Essential Skills needed to fulfil this role:
11. Relevant experience within a finance role and understanding of finance month end procedures.
12. Complete understanding and comfortability with core accounting principles (debits/credits, prepayments, accruals).
13. Able to comfortably liaise and connect with a wide range of stakeholders.
14. Strong time-management and organisational skills to allow for tasks to be completed efficiently.
15. Must showcase a proactive nature to and ability to work in a face paced environment.
16. Highly analytical with attention to detail and an eye for improvement and simplification.
17. Confidence to question the norm and provide suggestions on improvements.
18. Proficient with Excel and able to manage data and analysis using various formulas and tools (, Pivot Tables, Vlookups, SumIfs)
