Central Assessment Team Social Worker
North Somerset County Council is looking to expand their current team. The Central Assessment team is seeking a Social Worker to join a well-structured and organized team. This Central Assessment Social Worker role will be for an initial 3-6 months with the potential for extension subject to internal circumstances and your performance.
The role includes the transition of children's casework from the MASH, working with children in need, and those who may be at risk. Responsibilities include participating in strategy meetings and taking action to protect children where necessary. Multi-agency family assessments are conducted in this team, which involve visiting families, conducting direct work with children and young people, and gathering and analyzing information to consider next steps.

Central Assessment Social Worker Responsibilities Include:
1. Extensive experience of section 47 investigations.
2. Risk management.
3. Screening referrals.
4. Able to work autonomously.
5. Investigating any concerns of neglect through section 47 investigations.
6. Clear understanding of the principle and function of a Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub.
7. Evidence of ability to use analytical skills to determine positive outcomes for children and young people within tight timescales.
8. Previous experience of working with partner agencies to gather essential information.
Requirements / Experience Preferred:
1. Post qualifying experience of working as a Central Assessment Social Worker within the UK Social Care industry.
2. HCPC Registration.
3. 1-2 years post qualifying experience within the UK Social Care industry.
4. Enhanced DBS/CRB (we can obtain for you).
5. Eligibility to work in the UK.
